Twelve Microsoft Excel whizzes completed an online certificate program to boost their spreadsheet skills.
“We have a lot of students who are trying to get jobs,” explained Cheryl Sawyer, Youth Policy Institute (YPI) Instructor. “Employers are now very specific about Excel skills and we prep our students to be competitive.”
In the two-week course, Sawyer walks students through computer basics and then they work independently on Excel assignments. “In the last two years we’ve seen a steady enrollment increase. Classes like this are in high demand,” said Sawyer. The next Excel class begins June 17 at the San Fernando Library Plaza Library. For class information, please email email@example.com.
