Monseñor Oscar Romero Charter School to Get a New Home

Exciting news for YPI Charter Schools! In September, the LAUSD Board approved the Monseñor Oscar Romero Charter School (MORCS) renewal petition for an additional five years.

And on November 10, the Board approved an augmentation grant of $15 million to help build a $30 million permanent home for the school on the campus of Berendo Middle School in Pico-Union. The Berendo campus will also get a new gym as part of the overall building project. The gym will be shared by both traditional and charter school students.
