Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs

Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a federal program that helps students from high-poverty middle and high schools get through the first year of college by providing counseling, workshops, essential life skills training, and academic enrichment. We serve San Fernando Valley students starting in the 6th and 7th grade and follow them through their first year of college.

Increase the number of students from our community who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education.
